Bonnie Hodge

Bonnie Gale Hodge, known to many as a loving nurturing mother figure ,was born to Samuel And Daisy Cohens on October 10, 1954, in Brooklyn New York. She departed this life after illness on Friday, November 17, 2017 at the age of 63 years.

Bonnie was married to Lonzell Hodge, Jr.

Bonnie is preceded in death by both parents; her husband; siblings Lille Mae Goodman, John Cohens and Barbara Ann Lucky.

Left to cherish her memories are God-daughter Eida Qutais (Travis) Cook, sister Hattie Mae Lucky, aunt Ida Lee Riggins, special cousin Rosalyn Riggins, niece Tacoma (Jeff) Strong, special friend Renee Stanton, step daughters Stephanie (Jason) Lee and Natalie (Jerome) Gregg, nine grandchildren, one great-grand, two brother-in laws Archie and Stanley Hodge, many other family and friends.

She accepted Christ at an early age and enjoyed reading and studying the Bible. God’s word was an inspiration to her as she strived to bless everyone she came in contact with. She loved her church family at Evans AME Zion Church. She would tell us to be reminded of the “fruits of the spirit” which are foundations for living.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, November 25, 2017 at 3pm at Evans Metropolitan AME Zion Church, in Bennettsville, SC. The Reverend Samuel Latta, Pastor. Interment will follow in the Berea Memorial Gardens.

The family is receiving friends at 510 South Main Street Apt. D3, McColl.
