Delores Pegues

Delores “Lois” Pegues was born on June 24, 1948 in Laurinburg, NC. She departed her life on July 6, 2017 at Morrison Manor.

Delores attended public schools in Scotland County. Lois also worked at ToastMaster for over thirty years as a assembly line operator. She was currently attending St. James Holiness church with her neighbor and close friend, Janet Love whom she loved. During her spare time she enjoyed crafts and decorating her lovely home.

She  was formerly married to John M. Pegues to this union two children were born.

She preceded in death by her parents; her mother, Katie Mae McLaurin; father, James McLaurin; sisters, Rosa McLaurin, Betty Jean McLaurin; brother, Tommy Jr. McLaurin; brother-in-law, Rev. Freddie C. Bridges.

Lois’s memories will forever be cherished by her two daughters: Shirley Fairley (Jerry) of Laurinburg, NC, and Robbin Pegues (Tony) of Southern Pines, NC; four grandchildren: Sherrika (Tony Bethea) and Antonio Cole, D’Anthony and Garrett McBryde; two great grandchildren: Te’Aelah and Tanaijah Bethea; four sisters: Margaret Bethea, Polly Oliver (Charles) of Bennettsville, SC, Helen Bridges of Laurinburg, NC, Jackie McNeil (Elijah) of Winston Salem, NC; step brother: Frank McLaurin (Geraldine); aunt, Virginia Lane (Robert) of Laurinburg, NC; uncle, Willie McLaurin of Bennettsville, SC; special friends: Janet Love of Laurinburg, NC, Debra Pegues, Pearl Montgomery and Mary Sams all of Laurinburg, NC, and Tommy Samuel, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends that she loved so much.

The family is receiving friends at 1707 Anita Drive, Laurinburg, NC.
