James Russell Loyd

James Russell Loyd was born the son of the late James Arthur and Theresa Loyd. His birth took place on November 6, 1942 in Clio, SC.

He was married to the late Maybell Loyd for 52 years upon her death in 2010. His mother and father preceded him in death. A brother Johnny Loyd, a sister Martha Douglas, a daughter-in-law Julie Loyd and a great-great grandson Ashton Bethea also preceded him in death.

Early in life he accepted Christ and became a faithful member, Choir member and Deacon of Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church in Clio, SC.

On February 27, 2018, while in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his family, he departed this life.

He leaves behind to cherish his loving memories; four sons Lee Robert (Teresa) Loyd, of Little Rock, SC, Larry (Dorothy) Loyd of Bennettsville, SC, Michael (Abby) Loyd, of Bladenboro, NC, and James E Loyd of Bennettsville, SC; three daughters Lynn (Lennie) Tyson of Dillion, SC, Ola (Percy) Burke and Angela (John) Johns both of Bennettsville, SC; a grandson he raised as his son John Keith (Shasta) Loyd of Bennettsville, SC; one brother Jerry (Brenda) Loyd of Clio, SC; three sisters Johnola (LD) Woods of Fayetteville, NC, Nancy (Jake) Powell of Gainesville, Georgia, Blondell Carter of Clio, SC; four brother-in-law's, three sister­ in-law's, 25 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren that he loved dearly, and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
