Jerry Peterkin

Mr. Jerry (Boss Hog) Peterkin, son of the late Mr. Fred Peterkin and the late Beatrice Peterkin, was born on April 10, 1958 in Marlboro County, South Carolina.

He attended McColl area schools. He was a member of Beaver Dam First Baptist Church, McColl, South Carolina. He was a devoted father, grandfather, son, brother and uncle.

His father, Fred Peterkin, his mother, Beatrice Peterkin; siblings Elois, Mary Helen, Benny L., Fred Douglas, and Charles Peterkin preceded him in death.

Jerry Peterkin departed this earthly life on September 26, 2017.

He leaves to cherish his love and fond memories: Three daughters, Sonovia Bradford of Dillon, SC, Ebony Bradford of Dillon, SC, Tameka Brown (Gavin) of Knightdale, NC, and one son, Jerry “Jr.boy” Peterkin (Jessica) of Jacksonville, NC; seven grandchildren, Ty’Jai, Kiara, Shaniya, Ja’miya, Brayden, Corey, and Josiah; eight sisters, Mable Lemon (Mike), Annie M. McLeod (James), Annie B. Peterkin, Rebecca McLain (Curtis) and Linda McCall all of McColl SC; Mary J. Phillips (Alexander), Doris Walker (Leonard) of Laurinburg, NC, and Mildred Spears (James), Dillon, SC; two aunts, Ollie Mae Leach and Oree Whitner, McColl, SC; special cousin, Odessa Richardson, McColl, SC. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends and a very special friend, Doris Graves. He will be greatly missed. 

The family is receiving friends at 461 Williams Street, McColl.
