Patricia Dixon

In love and infinite wisdom, our Heavenly Father has released from all suffering and called into that new and larger life the gentle sprit of this mother Patricia A. E. Dixon, who departed this life on Friday, September 15, 2017 at 10:12 p.m. at McLeod Hospice House, Florence, South Carolina.

Patricia was born in Marlboro County on April 30, 1954 to the late Lucious and Gertrude J. Edens.  She accepted Christ as her personal Savior at an early age and joined Reedy Branch Baptist Church. Where she held several positions.

Patricia was a graduate of Clio High School and Chesterfield-Marlboro Technical College.  She loved to listen and sing gospel music. She enjoyed time with her grandchildren and family. She enjoyed shopping online and cowboy shows. As we all know Pat loved to voice her opinion.

Patricia was proceeded in death by her sister Annette (Matthew) Covington and brother Michael Covington.

Patricia leaves to cherish her memory her husband Marvin of thirty-two years, three children: Jeffery (Tarasha) Calhoun of Cheraw, SC, Tamika Calhoun of Laurel, Md., Marvin Jr. of Bennettsville, SC. One sister, Linda (Rolette) Pratt of Clio, SC, two brothers: John (Denise) Edens of Clio, SC and Archie Edens of Charlotte, NC. Four grandchildren: Jeffery Jr., Kaira, Jasmine and La’Mar. Two nephews: Kenneth and Algernon, three nieces: Deirdre, Michelle and Treasure, one uncle, Columbus Stewart, sister-in-law Fannie Covington and a host of other relatives and friends.
