Pearl Patterson

Pearl Patterson, also called “Pug” was born in Richmond County, NC on February 6, 1922 to the late William and Flossie Patterson.

At an early age Pear accepted Christ as his personal Savior and joined Beaver Dam First Baptist Church. He attended the public schools in Richmond County. He worked on a farm and did auto mechanic repairs for many years.

On April 27, 1952 he was joined in holy matrimony to Catherine Wilson. This union was blessed with seven children.

He departed this earthly life of Friday, September 22, 2017 at Morrison Manor in Laurinburg, NC. He was preceded in death by one brother Richard Patterson, and two sisters, Virginia Grant and Willie Mae Liles.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife Catherine Patterson of McColl, SC; seven children, Betty (Glen) Williams of Laurinburg, NC, Barbara Patterson of Laurinburg, NC, Ricky  (Connie) Patterson of Bennettsville, SC, Pearlie Harrington of McColl, SC, Larry (Alice) Patterson of McColl, SC, Jimmy (Ethel) Patterson of McColl, SC, and Randolph Patterson of McColl, SC; a special nephew William Liles; special friends Mark Campbell and William Goodwin; a special niece, Delores Grant; 16 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Lucy Leggett of Laurel Hill, NC and Gladys Davis of Laurinburg, NC; two sisters-in-law, Sarah Bethea and Bessie Brunson of McColl, SC; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
