Pearlie Mae (Breeden) Polston

Pearlie M. Polston was the daughter of the late Melvin and Alma Breeden. She was born on July 2, 1942 in Marlboro County.

She attended Lincoln Schools at an early age, she was converted and joined Mt. Olive Holiness Church in Clio, SC.

Later in life, she was united in holy matrimony to Willie James Polston and to this union they were blessed with four children. After marriage Pearlie, join her husband at New Galilee now known as Trinity United Methodist Church where she served faithfully on the Senior Choir, and United Methodist Women until her health failed.

After a short illness while at McLeod Health Hospital in Cheraw, SC God decided to call her unto eternal rest on Monday, November 14, 2016. She was preceded in death by her sister, Arletha Wingate and brother, Melvin Breeden.

She leaves to cherish her memoires her husband of fifty-three years, Willie James Polston; three daughters, Angela (Bill) Hailey of Bennettsville, SC, Sylvia Polston of McColl, SC, and Brenda Polston of the home; one son, James (Teresa) Polston of Cheraw, SC; eight grands; fifteen great grands; one sister, Annie Lou (James) Johnson; special caretaker Deretha Bethea; special cousin-brother, James V. Breeden; three special friends, Pearlie O’Neal, Roxie Quick, and Mildred Sewell, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

The family is receiving friends at 106 Ryalls Street, Bennettsville.
