Willie E Ridges

Willie Evan Ridges “Bill was born December 31, 1941 in Marlboro County to the late Dora Bradford and “Mack” Cook.

Willie peacefully slipped away to his new home on March 8, 2018 at the Florence Center.

Willie was educated in the Marlboro County School System and later move to Detroit Michigan where he resided for forty-four years. He was join in matrimony to the late Pearlin Bethea Ridges unto this union three children were born.

He was a supervisor for General Motors for forty years. He was raised by his grandparents Mammy and Lewis in a loving Christian home. He loved the Lord with all his heart. 

Willie enjoyed looking at Westerns, collecting guns, knives, and fast cars. He was a man that keep to himself but a very friendly man.  His favorite pastime was to ask about different family and friends he grew up with.

Willie was preceded in death by his twin brother, Robert Ridges, Jessie Lee McClain, and John “Buck” Ridges 

Left to cherish his memories are his three children, Terri Ridges Ellerbe and Jerome Ridges both of Bennettsville, SC, and Angeles Ridges Miles of Hinesville, GA; Grandchildren, Lakeem Ridges of Bennettsville, William D. Moore of Bennettsville, Patrice Ridges of Bennettsville, Tiffany Moore of Rockingham, NC, Tyrone Curry of Cheraw, SC, Jerome Jr. of Bennettsville, Bryson McRae of Bennettsville, Alexcia D Ridges of Bennettsville, Reggie Quick, Leci “Moo Moo Dudley, Meeka, CaPreshia Miles Danson (Timothy) of Fayetteville, NC , LaQuann Moore of California, Zariah Miles; great grands, TaQuann Polston, JaQuann Ridges, Damerian Ridges, Shakedria Ridges, Kar’Myre Coachman, Dreveon Bostic, Quentez Moore, Jaylin Ridges, Matica Miles, Amonte Miles, and Laniya Miles; brothers, Samuel “Rabbit” Ridges, and Jimmy Ridges; special brother-in-law, James Bethea, Sr.; special friend, Peggy Graham and a host of nieces, nephew, other relatives and friends.

The family is receiving friends at 207 Karen Circle, Bennettsville.
