Annie Ruth Bridges Zimmerman born April 24, 1931. She departed her life on October 1, 2019 at Moore Reginal in Aberdeen NC. She is the daughter of the late George and Mary Lee Bridges.
She attended the public schools in Marlboro County.
She was converted at an early age and joined Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church.
She was joined in holy wedlock to the late James Walter Zimmerman and to this union five children was born.
Mrs. Zimmerman work multiple jobs. She was the most loveable mother and grandmother to her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Zimmerman; her daughter, Peggy Zimmerman Miller and six brothers and two sisters.
She leaves to cherish her fond memories five children, Edward (Kathey) Bridges of Wallace, South Carolina, Dot Green and Darlene Zimmerman of Bennettsville, SC, Jackie (Cecil) Johnson and Marvin (Wanda) Bridges of High Point, NC; two sisters, Catherine (James) Jacobs and Mildred Drayton of Buffalo, NY; one brother, Leroy Bridges of High Point, NC; sixteen grandchildren; twelve great grands; five great-great grands; five sisters-in-law, Julia Bridges, Azalee Bridges, Shirley Zimmerman and Gloria Christian, and Alice Mae Bridges all of High Point, NC , and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends whom she loved.
The family is receiving friends at 127 Evergreen Court, Bennettsville.
