Jessie Mae Illery Carson the daughter of the late Annie Mae and Issac Illery was born on April 17th, 1934 in Orangeburg, SC.
At the age of twelve Jessie moved to NYC where she attended 106 Middle and Sarah J. Hale High School. Jessie worked many jobs until she became a cook at children World Daycare Center in Brooklyn, NY, until her retirement in 1997. Jessie later joined Full Gospel Tabernacle Church, and later became the mother of All People Baptist Church until she moved in 2013 with her daughter and family. She then joined Mt. Tabor Baptist Church. Later on Mother Carson became the Mother of Saving Grace Baptist Church until her health started to failed.
She was preceded in death by her mother Anne Mae and father, Issac Illery; two sisters; two brothers-in-law; one sister-in-law; one son Johpy Illery; one daughter, Vivian Carson.
She leaves to cherish her memories four sons, Derrick Illery of Brooklyn, NY, Wayne Carson of Brooklyn, NY, Anthony Carson of Brooklyn, NY, and Allan McNeil of Latta, SC; two daughters Patricia Illery of Bronx, NY, Deborah Lloyd of Little Rock, SC; one son-in-law Melvin Lloyd of Little Rock, SC; one Issac Illery; one very special niece Yvonne Reid; 37 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; two very special granddaughters firstborn Tryasia Illvery of Brooklyn, NY and Alma Louise Tess Lloyd of Little Rock, SC who was with her until the end. A host of nieces, nephews whom she loved dearly.
