To: Dixon Family,
John the Revelator Articulates in Revelation 21: 3-5 I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, behold the tabernacle of God is with men, and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow nor crying, neither shall there be anymore pain. These words are true and faithful.”
I greet you in the matchless name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I am writing to let you know that Pastor James E Smith, First Lady Tawanka M. Smith and The Greater St James Missionary Baptist Church Family of Bennettsville, South Carolina share in your sorrow at the loss of someone so special and dear to you all. Sister Dixon a sweet, sweet Spirit that caused those in her presence to know that she was a child of the King. We wish we could be there with you today, but we are unable to due to other obligations that could not be changed. It is our fervent and effectual prayer that God’s Love will surround and comfort you during this most difficult time, and bring that peace that passeth all understanding.
While it is sometimes hard to understand why we must face times of sorrow, God has given His children the blessed assurance that He will never leave us nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:5) He loves you and wants you to lean on his grace and strength to carry you through this time.
May you find comfort in knowing that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither does corruption inherit incorruption. To be absent from the body means to be present with the Lord; Sister Dixon has passed from labor to reward and has claimed her room in the kingdom of God. As you go through this period of bereavement please know that you are not alone because we are assured through the word of God that all things work together for good for those who love the Lord.
If I can assist you in any way please do not hesitate to call on us. Your family will continue to be in our prayers. May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Ghost be with you for evermore Amen.
Yours in Christ,
James E. Smith, Senior Pastor
