For his own purpose and in his own way, God’s will was done. Little did we know, Saturday afternoon, the sorrow the day would bring. The end was sudden, the shock severe, our precious loved one so dear, quietly departed this life.
Teresa Byrd, book of life closed on Saturday, December 7, 2019.
She was born in Bennettsville, SC on February 25, 1961 to the late deacon Howard Jr. and Hattie Byrd.
She became a member of Saint James Missionary Baptist Church at an early age. She graduated from Bennettsville High School in 1979. Thereafter, she attended Northeastern Technical College and received an Associate degree. She was employed by United Technology for over 20 years. In 2005, she was given a second chance of life by receiving a heart transplant giving her family 14 ½ years with her.
One sister preceded her in death, Connie Byrd.
She was united in holy matrimony to the late Alexander David, Jr. for 36 years.
She leaves to mourn: four children, Gregory Miles (Lynn) of Charlotte, NC, Kanta Byrd (Kristi) of Alpharetta, GA, Alex Williams of Yemassee, SC, Diamond David of Charlotte, NC; six brothers and three sisters, Larry (Anna) Harrington, Lorraine Harrington, Argatha (Lenward) Jones, Elizabeth Rush, Danny (Brenda) Harrington, Howard III (Gracee) Byrd, Leon (Cynthia) Byrd, Barry Byrd, Lanny Byrd; five sisters-in-law; two brothers-in-law; seven grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
She Will Be Missed!
