Anthony Antonio Douglas Smith was born October 31, 1979 in Bennettsville, SC to the late Deborah Ann Smith and Oliver Douglas.
“Ant” known to everyone attended the public schools in Bennettsville, SC. Ant was a family man that loved his wife and kids. Ant had mad love for “Up East” as he would say “East Side”. He loved to fish and gamble. Anthony worked as an Electrician at AC Electric in Charleston, SC.
Ant moved away from Bennettsville two months before his 36th birthday. He began a new life in Charleston, SC. A new journey and with that journey came change. He put his past behind him to become a better man for his wife and kids.
Anthony was preceded in death by his parents and his favorite aunt Lucile Spears and favorite uncle Luke Douglas.
Anthony leaves to cherish his loving memories; his wife MoQuisha Douglas Smith; five kids, Antionna, Andiyah, Antanijah, Shyonna, and King Douglas Smith. Maternal grandmother, Mary Brown. Four sisters, Sharon Douglas, Shawnae Smith, Ollie Mae Douglas, and Shirley Ann Quick. Two brothers, Kip Miller and James Simmons. Six nieces, Anjuliqie and April Smith, ShyKiara Douglas, Lusherry Spears, Siedea Breeden, Kayden Johnson. Five nephews, Jamel Douglas, Anthony Breeden, Dashawn Douglas, Prentiss and TaVon Covington. Mother-in-law, Shirley Quick (James). Father-in-law, James (Elizabeth) Strickland. Brothers-in-law, Malik Stricklin of Charleston, SC, LaCorey Smith. Sisters-in-law, Angel and Ayonna Quick, and Zi’Kiyya Smith. A very special friend, Yuki Bethea. A host of other family and friends who loves him unconditionally.
