Bernice Smith

With profound sorrow we announce the passing of Bernice Smith who departed this life April 29, 2022 at his residence.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at 3pm at the Berea Baptist Convention Center. Interment will follow in the Wesley United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Obituary 

Bernice Smith was born December 1, 1947, to Tillman Smith and Louise Smith.

He received his education at Johnson County High School in North Carolina. He worked at Bennettsville Water Company. Bernice also ran a convenience store.

Bernice was preceded in death by his parents, wife Judy Ann Smith. Son Bernice Smith Jr. Grandchildren: Trever Smith and Andrel Long. Sisters: Jean Thomas, Betty Davis, Mary Ann Smith, and Edith Smith. Brothers: Herbert James Smith, and Tillman Smith.

Bernice departed this life on April 29, 2022.

Left to cherish his memories, his sons Scottie Parker (Elizabeth), Timothy Smith (Sharon), Justin Smith (Saslee), Robbie Smith, David Parker (Sharon). Daughters Michelle Parker (Terry), Pamela Parker (Matthew), April Parker (Delroy). Baby sister Linda Smith. Twenty-six grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren. A host of nieces and nephews that he loved as his own, other relatives and friends.
