A private funeral service will be held Thursday, April 9, 2020 at 1pm at Beaver Dam Baptist Church in McColl, SC. The Rev. Dr. Debra Covington, Pastor. Interment will follow in the Matthews Chapel AME Zion Church Cemetery.
Betty Jean Davis was born June 5, 1977 in Marlboro county to Mary Nancy Davis and the late James Pate. Betty J. Davis departed this life on April 3rd, 2020 at Scotland Hospice.
Betty Jean Davis completed her education at Marlboro County High School, then later went to Florence Darlington Tech.
Betty Jean Davis was preceded in death by her two sisters and one brother, Evangelist Geraldine Bethea, Linda Bethea, and James Robert Davis.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her mother, Mary Nancy Davis; her son, DaQuwan Shakel Stuckey both of the home; grandchild, Ayzleigh Caulder; three sisters, Carol Davis of Fayetteville, NC, Mae Helen (James) Hope of McColl, SC, Eunice (Othis) Robinson of Dillon, SC; two brothers, Willie Davis of Dillon, SC, James Walter (Stennette) Bethea of Laurel Hill, NC; special aunt and uncle Voncele and James Blue of McColl, SC; seven nieces, LaShannon Hope, Mya McDonald, Latoya Bethea, Audura Bethea, Tiffany Drain, and Christy Gainey; eight nephews, Malik McDonald, JaQuanta McCoy, Jonas Pratt, Jason Pratt, Eric Bethea, Charles McRae, Narris Bethea (Melody), James Bethea, Jr. Great Nieces, Destiny Hope, Janiya Currie; great nephews, Xavion Bridges, Damante Currie, Jordan Richard, Dean Bethea, Jason Pratt, Jr., ADonis Pratt, Eraysho Pratt, Liam Pratt, Leonardo Nicholson, and Chris Gillard; best friends, Sakeenah David, Hakeem Harris, Michael Jones, Nakita Purvis, and a host of other relatives and friends.
