Charlie Cook Sr. was born December 21, 1934 in Bennettsville S.C. to the late parents Delphine and John H. Cook. He was one of 12 children. At the time of his death he was 85 years of age.
Charlie had several jobs in his life. Three in particular he loved; he drove bus for Wright High School, he worked at MAR-NAT known now as SO-PAK-CO and he also worked in a military factory in Brooklyn N.Y.
Charlie (Bae Bae) as his family and friends called him. Charlie was a very proud man who loved life and people to the fullest. His smile would light up a room. He loved his family and children and would speak of them proudly.
On March 10, 2020. Charlie passed away at home with his loving sisters Idella Peterkin and Isabella Williams by his side.
Charlie leaves to cherish his memories eight children. Larry Cook, Gloria Cook, Tess Cook, Ronnie Thompson, Karen Thompson, Sheila Thompson, Lula Lunsford and Charlie Cook Jr.
He also leaves his three sisters Isabella Williams (Staten Island New York) Idella Peterkin and Carrie Peterkin both of (Bennettsville S.C.). A host of grands, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. He also leaves a special nephew Gregory Timmons (Brooklyn N.Y.) and his riding partner his nephew Ronnie Purvis his (rode dog) as Bae Bae called him.
The family is receiving friends at 141 Miles Lane, Bennettsville.
