Derrick Lorenzo “Tank” Bostic was born on September 9, 1978, in Bennettsville, SC to Lorenzo and the late Teresa Brown Bostic. He Attended the public schools of Marlboro County, SC
Tank had many trails while here on earth, these trails were what brought him to known, believe and trust in his creator, God and develop a personal relationship with Him.
Tank was skilled in automotive and home repair, as he loved to see what made things work. Most of his skills were self-taught.
Tank managed his own tire service were he sold and repaired tires, as well as automotive repairs.
Tank enjoyed cooking, fishing, horseshoes, giving to others, family, friends and having a good time. These were the things that made him happy.
On Saturday, October 15, 2022, Derrick Lorenzo “Tank” Bostic departed his earthly life. Preceding him in death were his mother, Teresa Brown Bostic, maternal grandfather Saul McLeod, paternal grandparents James “Buddy” and Arnetha Gilchrist Bostic.
Derrick will truly be missed by his fiancé, Antwanaka “Merra” Campbell, Bennettsville, SC, sons Cornell Rich, Virginia, Charles Bostic, father, Lorenzo Bostic, Bennettsville, SC, maternal step grandmother Nette McLeod, Waterboro, SC, sisters Toshiba Bostic, Alisha Bostic, brother/cousin Gray Bostic, nephew Deshaun Bostic, nieces Ja’Myah Byrd, Shatara Bostic, great nieces Jhana Bostic, Zariyah Bridges, maternal aunts Pamela ( Luke) Lynch, Denise (Leroy) Lynch, Patricia (Curtis) Broody, Gloria Jean Brown, and Mary Ann (Michael) Hagan; maternal uncles, Terry (Jackie) Brown, Thaddeus (Linda) Thomas, and Terry (Jackie) Brown all of Bennettsville, SC, paternal aunts Eula “Dot” Coachman, Bennettsville, SC, Patricia Ann Broughton, Hamlet, NC, paternal uncles Earl “Red” (Lucille) Bostic, Laurinburg, NC, special uncle/cousin Charles “Mann” (Tina) Tyson, Laurinburg, NC , and many special cousins relatives and friends.
