Donta Vershaun Pearson

Donta, passed suddenly from this earthly life on March 14, 2021 at Scotland Memorial Hospital.

Donta Pearson was born on March 09, 1987, to the late Donald York and Amanda Rochelle Pearson.

He attended Scotland County School; he was employed in the manufacturing industry for many years.

Donta was preceded in death by his brothers: Dontrell Pearson, James Franklin Pearson, his grandmothers: Viola Pearson, Mrs. Martha York, and his grandfathers: James York, and Archie Ellerbe also his Great grandmother Mrs. Lethia Staton. 

Five aunts Judy Moore, Gloria Pearson, Ethel Gladden, Martha McMillan and Gloria Quick. Five Uncle, Henry Leon Pearson, Edwund York, James York, Roy York, and Micheal York and two Great Uncle: JC Staton, Hervon Staton.

Donta leaves to cherish his BIG SMILE and lots of funny memories. His loving devoted and caring sister Donella Pearson (Justin Small) one brother, Dondrick Pearson, both of Laurel Hill NC.

His life memories and smile will be remembered and cherished by his wife Letitc’ia Terry Pearson of Laurinburg NC, 

Four aunts: Shanita Terry of High Point NC, Sarah Gibson of Bennettsville SC, Mary Graham of Lester SC, Eula Grant of Raeford NC. Three uncles: Travis Pearson of Laurinburg NC, William York, Gibson NC, and Johnny Pearson of Gibson NC. Four great aunts: Sheryl Quick (Larry) of Charlotte NC, Sadie Staton of Bennettsville SC, Emma Spears of McColl SC, Lillie Staton of High Point NC. Two great uncles: Hubert Quick of Bennettsville SC, Leroy Staton of Bishopville SC. A very special friend Jazznequa Nicholson. A host of cousin and friends.

A funeral service will be held Sunday, March 21, 2021 at 1:30 pm at 15881 Hamlet Highway, Laurel Hill NC. Interment will follow in the Goodwin Chapel AME Zion Church Cemetery. Please follow CDC guidelines and facial coverings will be required.
