Joe Louis Welch

Mr. Joe Louis Welch son of Ulysses “Bob” and Annie Mae Welch was born June 29, 1942 in Marlboro County S.C. He departed this life on January 19, 2021.

Joe was a loving and caring person, a father, brother, grandparent, and a good friend to all, he cared for others and he loved to go fishing with his friends.

He was a member of Mount Tabor Missionary Baptist Church. He Confessed Christ at an early age, He was a member of Oak Ridge lodge #350.

He was preceded in Death by his mother, father, and a sister, Sylvia Palmer.

Joe leaves to cherish his memories with a daughter Pamela Brown; a son Michael Harley; stepson Jerry Sewell and Toya Townsend, James Sewell and Nivea Bostic; seventeen grandchildren, twenty greatgrandchildren; sister Hazel McDuffie of Clio S.C. Mary Hayes of McColl S.C. Carrie Townsend and Flora McDougal of Dillon S.C.; brothers Henry Welch and Josephine Lee Edward Welch and Geraldine of Clio S.C. Richard Welch and Beulah of Dillon S.C., John Covington and Bessie of Manhattan NY. One brother-in-law; two aunts; special friends Mary Pipkins, James Harley, James McLeod, Sammy Stanback, Eddie B. Covington; special lady friend, Mary Helen Baker.  A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
