On Tuesday, March 23, 2021, God called one of His unique children home, Mrs. Jovanaka Smith-Canty.
Jovanaka was born August 06, 1974 in Bennettsville, South Carolina.
Jovanaka married Burnice Canty on December 27, 2005.
She attended the public schools of Marlboro County. She later moved with her family to Greenville, South Carolina.
Jovanaka further her education by attending ECPI University in Greenville, SC and Greenville Technique College of Greenville, SC, where she received two certificates of completion. Which led her into her dream career of working and helping people with special needs and disabilities.
With a smile that could light up a room. To truly know her was to simply adore her.
Left to cherish her loving memories are her children: Najalia Teal of Bennettsville, SC, Nyia Teal of Bennettsville, SC, Shy’neak Teal of Greenville, SC; parents Mother Beverly Elaine Smith of Greenville, SC, Father Thomas and (Sharice) Bennett of Bennettsville, SC; husband Burnice Canty of Bennettsville, SC; grandchildren Charmaine Teal Gipson of Greenville, SC; brothers, Kevin Bennett of Concord, NC, Brian Townsend of Richmond, VA. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
