Julia Thomas Obituary

With profound sorrow we announce the passing of Julia McMillian Thomas who departed this life April 25, 2022 in Laurinburg, NC.

A funeral service will be held Sunday, May 1, 2022 at 3pm at  Bethea Funeral Home (exterior). Interment will follow in the Church of God for All People Memorial Garden

Obituary 

Missionary Julia Doreen McMillan-Thomas was born October 16, 1963, to the parents of Alsmith & Alberta McMillian.

She was educated in the public school system of Roberson County. She graduated from Lumberton Senior High School. Julia transitioned into her eternal rest, Monday, April 25, 2022, at Scotland Hospital.

Julia was a loving, wife, mother, sister, and affectionate grandmother, aunt to her family, to other relatives, neighbors, friends, and all who knew her. She had a heart full of love and a smile to be remembered. Julia was never too busy, nor too tired to help someone in need. She was well-loved and well respected. She made loving her easy.

Julia was hardworking and dedicated while employed at previous jobs and Smithfield, and later Sapako until her health declined.

February, 2020, Julia was ordained as Missionary at the El-Jireh Pentecostal Apostolic Church, in Bennettsville, SC where she faithfully served for fourteen years.

Proceeding her in death were her parents: Alsmith McMillian & Alberta McMillian, a sister Elizabeth McMillian, and two brothers: Al Jr. McMillian and David McMillian. 

To cherish her memory, she leaves behind her loving, devoted husband Henry Thomas. Her children, Paul McMillan and Tierra Hayes of Lumberton, NC. Three Granddaughters: Alizanderia, Faith & Keke McMillan; Siblings: Flora Cain, Connie McMillian-Wallace, Jimmy McMillian, John McMillian, Ronnie McMillian of Maryland, and Donnell (Shelia) Sutton of Florida. Sisters-in-Law: A Special Sister-In-Law, Angie Thomas, Christine Brown; Brothers-In-Law: Dunkin Thomas, Ronnie Thomas; a special little niece Adia Thomas, a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, friends, Mrs. Ella Grace, A special friend and neighbor, and Best Friend Lady Carol Sullivan.
