Latonia Denise Harlee

Ms. Latonia Denise Harlee, most affectionately known as “Pumpkin” was the daughter of Dorothy and Willie K. Small. She was born on October 18, 1976, in Bennettsville, SC. She departed this life on November 8, 2021, at Scotland Memorial Hospital in Laurinburg, NC.

She confessed Christ at an early age and joined Macedonia Baptist Church. As an adult she was a member of Solid Rock Holiness Church and enjoyed fellowship with Community of Grace. She received her education in the Marlboro County School System and attended Bamberg Job Corps; she obtained a degree in in Business/Accounting. For over twenty years she was employed in the Hotel industry as a receptionist.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving children, Nefateda Shanae and Lewis Chambers of Elgin, SC, and Craig Harlee of Raleigh, NC. Two grandchildren, Naiama and Sahara Chambers of Elgin, SC. Her loving mother and stepfather, Dorothy and Willie K. Small. Her father, Luke Pearson. Eight aunts, Cathy Surles, Sharrion Eaddy both of Haines City, FL, Ruby Crawford of Sodus, NY, Karen and Billy White of Fayetteville, NC, Deborah and Richard Adams, Denise Poe of Bennettsville, SC, and Gloria Harlee of Society Hill, SC. Two great aunts Geraldine Alford of Bennettsville, SC, and Dora Lee Miller of Watauga, TX. One great uncle, Thomas and Hattie Graves of Williamston, NC. Two special friends, Victoria Adams, and Latoya Williamson. A host of special cousins and relatives and friends.
