Leverne (Levon) Evans was born in Bennettsville, SC to the late Inez Evans and Hamp Williams.
At an early age he attended St. Beulah Missionary Baptist Church. He received his formal education in the Marlboro County School System.
Levon has been in a lifelong relationship with Jennie Robinson.
Levon worked with many different companies from Bennettsville, SC to Syracuse, NY to High Point, NC, Clio, SC and back to his hometown of Bennettsville, SC.
Levon loved his family and friends. He has never met a stranger. Everyone that me him loved him. He enjoyed life and there was never a dull moment around him.
Levon departed this life August 31, 2022, at McLeod of Dillon, SC. He was preceded in death by his mother Inez Evan, father Hamp Williams, and sister Carolyn Evans.
He leaves to cherish his memories his brothers Larry Evans, Jerry Campbell of Bennettsville, Daniel Williams, Danny Williams, Hamp Williams Jr., Timothy Richard, and Isaac Sinkler. Sister Helen McKiver, Arlene (David) Ward, Louvenia Armfield, Lille (Larry) Davis, Tina Sinkler, Melinda Bethea, Sheryl Ward. Nieces Kimberly Shareka Inez Evans all of Bennettsville, SC. Nephews Stefan and Randell Evans, Larry Evans Jr., and Maurice Eaddy. Aunts Louise Sinkler and Bessie Smith of Bennettsville, SC and Adelle Freeney of Syracuse, NY. A host of family and friends.
