Leanna Anderson

Mrs. Leanna Alford Anderson daughter of the late Moses and Alena Alford, but she was raised by Rev. E. Poe and Mrs. Naomi Poe, was born in Marlboro County on September 22, 1939.

On June 26, 1960 she entered in holy matrimony with Mr. Grover Anderson.

She excepted Christ as her savior as she was a member of Hopewell United Methodist Church in Tatum, SC, which later became Trinity in Bennettsville; where she served in numerous ministries.

She received education in public in Marlboro County. She graduated in 1958 from Adamsville High School. She received her CNA education at Northeastern Tech. she was employed at Dixanna Mills  (Mottasco Corp in Dillon, SC), at West Point Stevenson in Wagram, and also Dundee Nursing Home in Bennettsville, SC as a CNA.

She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, two brothers, and one sister.

She leaves to cherish her devoted and loving husband of 60 years of McColl, SC. Two daughter’s: Janice A. Moore of McColl, SC and Beverly Anderson of McColl, SC. Seven grandchildren: Addric Moore, Christopher Moore, Kutishea Moore, Venky Anderson, Lysithea M. Landy, Darius Anderson, and Samantha Moore. Eight great grandchildren; two sisters- in- law: Ola B. Ray of Clio, SC, Mary Ruth Anderson of Clio, SC, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
