Loretta Leggett was born to the late James Stanback and Azalee Wright on October 7, 1942 in Bennettsville South Carolina.
She attended public school in Bennettsville South Carolina for many years she was employed at So-Pak-Co.
She was a faithful member of greater saint Paul missionary Baptist Church where she served as a member of the nurse aide, choir member, and kitchen committee.
One of her main hobbies were setting out and attending to her flowers.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Harry Leggett; four brothers, Charlie Stanback, Jimmy Stanback, King Solomon Stanback, and Willie Stanback.
Left to cherish her memories are her children: Geraldine and Henry McRae, Deloris and Robert Bridges of Bennettsville, SC, Hamer and Pamela Leggett of Washington, DC, Robert Leggett of Charlotte, NC, Valerie and Willie Parks of Florence, SC, Deborah and Tom Gillespie of Bennettsville, SC, Thomas and Nina Leggett of Sumter, SC, Alethia and Tarone Brown of Cheraw, SC, and Willie and Frances Kinney of Bennettsville, SC; five sisters: Ella Stanback, Mary Stanback of Brooklyn, NY, Almeta McKinnon, Ethel Mae Stanback and Frances Moore all of Bennettsville, SC; one brother: Sammie Stanback of Clio, SC; one sister-in-law: Elease Stanback. Grandchildren: Carlos Leggett, Lamario Leggett, Calvin Leggett, Shemika and Lajarvis Prescott, Teddy Jr. Lovell, Shonta Lovell, Thomas Gillespie, Wileakqua Kinney, Elisha Kinney, Angela Leggett, Christopher Leggett and Vondasia Kinney; fifteen great grands; three great-great grands. Special friends: Curtis Pendergrass, Debra Ann Washington. Special cousin: Evelyn Samuel. Dear friends: Pearlie Littles, Brenda Nelson, and Dorletha David. A host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
