With profound sorrow we announce the passing of Lue Helen Covington who departed this life January 15, 2022 in Mullins, SC.
Due to inclement weather, the funeral service has been rescheduled for Monday, January 24, 2022 at 12 pm at Syrian Baptist Church . Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
There will be no public viewing.
Lue Helen Covington, daughter of the late TC and Atlanta Sanders Covington was born in Marlboro County August 12, 1955. She answered her Master's call on Saturday, January 15, 2022, at her home in Mullins, South Carolina.
She accepted Christ as her savior at an early age and attended Syrian Missionary Baptist Church with her family.
Lue Helen was educated in Clio, South Carolina. She later gave life to and became a devoted mother to two daughters, Katrina, and Jessica. She was predeceased by four brothers: TC Jr., Lawrence, Ervin, and Lee Curtis Covington.
Lue Helen was an amazing cook and took pride in cooking for her family and friends. She had a fun personality and a great sense of humor. She loved her family dearly.
Her precious memory will be cherished by her loving and devoted children: two daughters, Katrina (Timothy) McRae of Mullins, South Carolina, Jessica (Ronald) Gailliard of Rock Hill, South Carolina; two brothers, John (Gertrude) Covington of Clio, South Carolina, and James (Deborah) Covington of Bennettsville, South Carolina; one uncle, Edward (Burnett) Sanders of Sandford, North Carolina; one aunt, Virginia Sanders of Bennettsville, South Carolina; three grandchildren, Lyeef McRae, Richmond Gailliard, Symphony McRae and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
