Luther Jenkins was born on October 7, 1944 in Blenheim, SC to parents Edward and Addie Jenkins. He departed his life on Saturday February 20, 2021 at Scotland Memorial Hospital.
He was a loving husband and father. He was married to his supportive wife for 55 years. Luther enjoyed many things, some of which were fishing, watching Old Westerns and WWE Wrestling, but he loved dancing the most. “Luke” was a kindhearted person who would help in any way that he could. He was extremely handy and there wasn’t anything that he couldn’t fix or make work. Many individuals would call and say, “I need Mr. Luke to fix something for me” and he didn’t hesitate to help. He was easy going but had a wealth of wisdom. Never did he want others to worry but do their best to make a situation work. He was truly loved by many.
He leaves to cherish his memories; his wife, Annette Jenkins; five sons, Luther Mark Dixon, Perry Dixon (Patricia), Michael Jenkins (Chanda), Mitchell Jenkins (Wanda) and Jarod Jenkins; two daughters, Pamela Jenkins and Kimberly Jenkins Smith (Darryl); four brothers; William “Bo” Jenkins (Shirley), Walter Jenkins, Gary Jenkins (Zonnia) and Ray Charles Williams; four sisters; Madie Jenkins, Deloris Brown (Larry), Plumella Lytch and Donella Williams. Also, a grand host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
