Marquis De’Sean Alford, the son of Rosalyn Caldwell and Marcus Alford was born Nov. 24, 1993 in Dillon, S.C.
On December 17, 2021, he answered his Master’s call and entered his heavenly home.
Marquis was raised and attended schools in Marlboro County, South Carolina, Fort Knox, Kentucky, Heidelberg, Germany, Fort Meade, Maryland and Fort Hood, Texas, making lifelong friends at every stop as his parents served in the United States Army.
He gave his life to Christ at an early age at Sandy Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Bennettsville, SC., where he maintained close spiritual ties throughout his life.
Marquis was a caring and generous person who was always trying to help those he met who were in need. He was a natural leader with a magnetic personality that drew people to him. Marquis was a hard worker and big dreamer.

His brother Seven Pouncy, Raeford, NC. His sisters Shadya Small, Raeford, NC and Desiree Alford, Virginia. His two nieces Peyton and Aniyah Hammond, Raeford, NC. His God Brother Cedric Robertson, Charleston, SC. His maternal grandparents Eddie B and Isadora Covington, Clio, SC. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents James Monk and Linda Alford. Three aunts, twelve uncles, and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends will also cherish his memories forever.
