Niccie Crawford

Niccie Smith Crawford was born on January 2, 1931, in Marlboro County to the late Mullin and Elizabeth Smith. She departed her life on January 15, 2022, at McLeod Hospital in Dillon, SC.

She was one of thirteen children.

She was educated in the public schools of Marlboro County. Niccie also earned her certification in Nursing Assistant at Chesterfield Marlboro Technical College.

She retired from Dundee Nursing Home in Bennettsville, SC.

Niccie was married to the late Fletcher Crawford and to this union seven beautiful children were born.

She was preceded in death by ten siblings and two grandchildren.

Left to cherish her memories are her children: Sylvia and Ronnie McCollum, Nickole and Troy Broddy, and Julia Crawford all of Clio, SC. Janie McRae, Charles Crawford both of McColl, SC. Louise and Michael Goings, Doris and Bryan Page both of Dillon, SC. Two special grandchildren that were raised in the home. Eric Crawford of Bennettsville, SC, Sheshawnda and Anthony Cain of Clio, SC, whom was also her caregiver. Twenty-two grandchildren; thirty-five great grandchildren, five great-great grands. Two brothers: Clewell Smith and Caroline of Valley Stream, NY, Charles and Christine Smith of Bennettsville, SC. Two sisters-in-law, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Niccie will truly be missed by all who know and loved her with that radiant smile.
