Olivia Poole Spears was born June 30, 1957 in Marlboro County to the late Olivia Poe Poole. She transitioned peacefully on October 1, 2020 at MUSC in Florence, SC. She was converted at an early age and joined House of God Holiness Church. She attended the public schools of Marlboro County and Chesterfield Technical College. Olivia worked as an industrial worker for many years and also catered with “Vons and Sons” throughout the years. Olivia was known as “Dib” to many people. She was a dedicated member to her club “Gracious Ladies".
Later in life Olivia met her husband Andrew Spears. Olivia and Andrew were married for several years and had four kids together. She was known as " The Wreath Lady ". If you ever needed a flower arrangement or decorating advice Dib was the one to call. Day and night, she would work around the clock to get the job done. Olivia was loved by many people. She would give you her last if she could have. Oliva was the life of a party. If she went to a party and saw people sitting down, she would walk on the dance floor and start dancing. The crowd would follow her lead. Her favorite show was "The Have and Have Nots”. So, if you had anything to tell her, you better had told her before her show come on or after it went off. Olivia favorite saying was “You big head dummy". She was the female version of Fred Sanford.
Olivia will be greatly missed. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband the late Andrew Spears and three brothers Bobby, Steve, and Prentiss.
She leaves in cherish her memory her children Tiki Poole of Bennettsville, SC, Kela Evans (Ohmar) of Blenheim, SC, Neka Poole of Columbia, SC and Kimie Poole of Charlotte, NC; one godson Darren Boubour of Bennettsville, SC one special daughter Nicole Banyan of Columbia, SC; three sisters Anita Rogers on Bennettsville, SC, Elaine Poole of Bennettsville, SC and Joyce Poole of Bennettsville, SC. One brother Herbert Poole (Debbie) of Georgia. One half sister Deborah Poe Chestnut of Florence, SC, four half-brothers Ike Poe, Jerry Poe (Sheryl), Perry and Tim Poe all of Bennettsville, SC. Four sisters-in-laws Marilyn Spears of Georgia, Bessie Spears of Cheraw, SC, Nikki Spears (Eric) of Virginia, Annette Bridges (James) of Bennettsville, SC, one brother-in-law Harold Spears Jr. (Rhonda) of Pageland, SC, one special sister Evette Hepburn of Bennettsville, SC; five grandchildren Kelifa Gillespie, Kamilah Poole, Mahadji Jones, Khloe Banyan, NaShiyah Bridges and many nieces and nephews as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
