Obituary

Mrs. Pearlie Mae McKoy was born on May 9, 1957 to Mrs. Maggie Purnell and Mr. Joe Purnell. On May 5, 2022, God opened His arms up and called His precious loving daughter home.

Pearlie was preceded in death by her husband George McKoy, one son Charles Purnell; her mother Maggie Purnell; her father, Joe Purnell; three brothers Freddie, Joe, John Purnell; two sisters Gladys Brown and Sallie Townsend.

She was a very loving and caring mother and would love to cook and feed multiply family before her health failed. She was a woman that would make you feel comfortable and always laugh.

She leaves fond memories to her four children: Joseph Purnell (Selena Townsend) Pam Purnell, Nina Quick, and Trina (Audiel) McNair. Seven sisters: Carrie Baker, Bertha Clark, Pearline (J.R.) Dupree, Maggie Gurley, Mary Ann Purnell, Evon (Fredrick) Davis and Ella Purnell. Three brothers: Willie Purnell, James (Sheila) Purnell, and Tommy Purnell. Sister-in-law Mary Purnell; two goddaughters Lisa Jackson and Ti’Asia Grissett. A host of grands, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
