Queen Thomas Obituary

Queen Ester Samuel Thomas of Bennettsville, SC departed this life on Thursday, September 17, 2020 at McLeod Health in Cheraw, SC.

She was born, May 19, 1954 in Lamar, SC to the late Lonnie Alonzo Samuel and the late Hester Briggs Samuel.

Queen Ester Samuels Thomas attended Marlboro County Public Schools.

She received her Cosmetology License from Chris Logan Beauty College in Bennettsville, SC.

She was a member of Community of Grace Church, Bennettsville, SC.

Queen Ester was a multi-talented lady. She was known for her great cooking skills, a Beautician, Gardener, Barker, and Upholsterer.

She was united in marriage to the late Bobby Thomas, Sr.

She leaves to cherish her memory, Bobby Thomas Jr. of Killeen, TX, Deanna Thomas Bostic of Ladson, SC, Marcus Robert Edward Thomas of Bennettsville, SC, Larry Thomas (Jennifer) of Spartanburg, SC; six grandchildren: Terrell Bostic, Jalarryon Thomas, Jr., Tremell Bethea and Destiny Bethea; two great grandchildren: Amir Bostic and Amara Bostic; three sisters: Josephine Davis (Reverend Earl Davis), Reverend Jackie Pouncy (Prentiss), and Edna Hamilton; two brothers: Lonnie Samuel (Barbara) and Reverend Edward Samuel (Pamela). Remarkably close friends: Martha Ocean, Larry Williams and her next-door neighbor, Mr. Fredrick Ford. A host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, other relatives, and friends.
