Roosevelt was born to the late Lawrence and Sallie Mae Jenkins on January 23,1956 in Blenheim, South Carolina.
Roosevelt attended Blenheim High School in Marlboro County.
Roosevelt "Donnie" was preceded in the death by Stepmother; Almatine Jenkins, Sisters; Mary Jane Jackson, Rosa Lee Brown, Christine Covington-Dixon, Willie Mae Jenkins-Duncan, Luegenia Jenkins-Bridges, Alberta Jenkins and Lucille Jenkins; Brothers; Lawrence Jenkins, Jr., Charles Edward Jenkins, Eddie Jenkins, Otis Jenkins, John Terrell Jenkins, Freddie Jenkins; Stepbrothers; Willie Lee Joseph and James Dixon.
Roosevelt was residing at his home in Bennettsville, South Carolina when God called him home.
Left to cherish his memory is his son Robert Deville Jenkins, Sisters: Helen (Thomas) Sledge of Chesapeake, VA., Ernestine (Eugene) Cain of NY, NY, Sallie Mae Jenkins and Mildred Nicholson of Bennettsville, SC; Brothers: Jerome Jenkins of Brooklyn, NY., Robert Jenkins of Bennettsville, SC., Stepbrothers: Frank Dixon, Sr., James Darnell Brown of High Point, NC., Stepsisters: Alice Dixon of Bennettsville, SC., Queen Esther Dixon and Barbara (Ronnie) Dixon-Whitworth of High Point, NC., Sister-in-law Ruth Jenkins and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends. He also leaves to cherish his memory his special niece Mary "Luddy" Veazy, who dedicated all of time caring for him diligently until his untimely departure.
