Sally Murphy Obituary

With profound sorrow we announce the passing of Sally Murphy who departed this life June 27, 2021 at her residence.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, July 3, 2021, at 1:00 PM at the Berea Baptist Convention Center. Interment will be held in the Ideal Cemetery. 

 

Sally Mae Prince Murphy was born July 20, 1933, to the late Henry Prince, Sr. And Annie Mae Prince.

Sally departed this life on June 27, 2021 at her residence, in the presence of her family.

Sally received her education in the Marlboro County School System, where she graduated in the 11th grade.

Sally was married to the late Douglas Murphy.

Sally was employed with Head start for eighteen years as a volunteer and assistant, Oak River Mills, Carolina Cleaner, So-Pak- Co, Perdue Farms, and worked as a Beautician.

Sally was preceded in death by three sons: Steve, Randy, and Jerry. Four brothers: Lucious, Freddie, Fredrick, and Earnest and a sister, Lillie Mae David.

Sally leaves to cherish her memories her four daughters: Annie Bell Bostic and Deloris Adams both of Bennettsville, SC, Sharron (Jimmy) Bennett of Cheraw, SC and Chastity (Mark) McLeod of Twinsburg, OH. Four sons: Lewis (Shirley) Prince, Robert Prince, and Patrick Prince all of Bennettsville, SC, Thomas (Natalie) Prince of Raeford, NC. Forty-one grandchildren; fifty-nine great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren. Sisters: Katie Prince and Ann Prince both of Bennettsville, SC. Brothers: Henry Prince, Sr. of Bennettsville, SC and Tommy Prince of Brooklyn, NY. Sister-in-law Catherine Fields. A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
