Sarah McLaurin

Sarah L. McLaurin departed this life January 23, 2020 at Morrison Manor in Laurinburg, NC. 

A funeral service will be held Wedneday, January 24, 2020 at 1pm at Bethea Funeral Home Chapel. The Reverend Eddie L. Davis, officiating. Interment will follow in the Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemtery.

Sarah L. McLaurin was born August 17, 1948 in Marion County, SC.

She was the oldest child of the late Hezekiah and Cora Mae Ingram McLaurin and the late Mae Bell McLaurin.

On Thursday, January 23, 2020 she answered the Master’s call and went to be with the Lord.

Sarah received her education in the public schools of Clio, SC.

She was employed at Dundee Manor Nursing Home many years ago.

Sarah accepted Christ at an early age at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Clio, SC.

Sarah was united in holy matrimony to Willie James Williams from that union one child was born.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Rachael McLaurin Rivers.

Sarah leaves to cherish her fond memories two daughters, Mabeline (Curtis) Pouncy of Laurinburg, NC and Linda (Drake) Moore of McColl, SC. One son Jay Jr. McLaurin Moore of Laurinburg, NC; five grandchildren, Curtis D. Pouncy, Jr. of Raleigh, NC, Zy’Kera Graham, Z’eShawn Moore, Z’e Andre Strickland, Z’e Monte Strickland of Clio, SC; one brother, Eddie (Lovenia) McLaurin of New Jersey; one brother-in-law Benjamin Rivers Sr., of Beaufort County, SC; niece, Lisa Boyd of Fort Mills, SC; nephews, Eddie Lamont McLaurin of Charlotte, NC, Edwin Lamont Watson of Atlantis City, NJ, Darren Ray of SC, Cleon Rivers of Bronx, NY and Benjamin Rivers Jr., of Brooklyn, NY, and a host of nieces, nephews, other loving family relatives and caring friends.

The family is receiving friends at 601 Butler Street, Laurinburg, NC
