Tommy Bostic was born on December 14, 1944 to the late James O. and Betty L. Bostic. A native of Bennettsville, SC Tommy was educated in the Marlboro County School District.
Upon graduation Tommy moved to Brooklyn, NY. During his time there six children were born. Being the good man, he was Tommy moved back home to help take care of his mother.
Tommy “Hatchet Head” as he was affectionately called, loved cooking, baking, and fishing. He was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and most of all a beautiful soul.
Tommy departed this earth and gained his wings at Moses Cones Hospital in Greensboro, NC.
Tommy was preceded in death by his parents, James O. and Betty Bostic; three brothers, James O. Bostic, Jr., John W. Bostic, Charles Bostic; one sister, Francis Simmons.
He leaves to cherish his memory six children: Shawn Ellerbee of Fayetteville, NC, April Jackson Bostic, Evonn Bostic and Tammy Bostic of Brooklyn, NY, Anthony Fletcher (Laura Lattaker) of Bennettsville, SC, and Jade Fletcher (Gerard Jackson) of Burlington, NC; one sister, Peggy Beards of Bennettsville, SC; one brother, Willie Arthur (Dobie), Sharon Bostic of Long Island, NY. A special niece and god daughter, Cynthia (Kelly) Johnson of Brooklyn, NY; twelve grandchildren; eight great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
