Willie McCollum Obituary

Willie Ann Douglas McCollum, daughter of the late Annie Louise Graham and Wille Douglas was born December 14, 1948 in Bennettsville, SC.  She answered her call to be with her heavenly father on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at Scotland Memorial Hospital in Laurinburg, NC.

In addition to her parents Willie Ann Douglas McCollum was preceded in death by her husband James McCollum, Son Keith Dunmore, Brother Freddie Douglas, and two sisters: Francina Douglas and Elizabeth Smith.

Willie Ann was educated in the public schools of Marlboro County. She was employed at Essex Wire for many years before closing.  Willie Ann was a member of New Hill Original Free Will Baptist Church of Bennettsville, SC.

She leaves to cherish her memories six children: one daughter of the home, Stephanie McCollum, James Dunmore, Cykeitha (Costanzo) Ellerbe, John (Calesa) McCollum, Fitzgerald Thomas all of Bennettsville, SC and Celester McCollum of Charlotte, NC.  Two grandchildren reared in the home: Kadeem and Akeem McCollum. Two sisters: Norma Dean Rollerson and Lucy Douglas of Bennettsville, SC. Two brothers: Thomas (Betty) Douglas of Bennettsville, SC and Kirk Douglas of Rockhill, SC. One sister-in-law: Johnnie Mae Douglas of Bennettsville, SC. One brother-in-law: Herman Rollerson of Washington, DC. Four aunts: Mary Williams, Fannie Spears of Bennettsville, SC; Annie Mae Douglas of Brooklyn, NY, Betsy Bright of Baltimore, MD. Two uncles: Willie Graham of Highpoint, NC and Theodore Douglas of Bennettsville, SC. She leaves twenty-three additional grandchildren (Jameisha, Teesha, Quincy, Jelica, Muff, Buffy, Lil John, Kia, April, Lil Man, Hakeem, Saquan, Cerrell, Cirrus, Johneysha, B Bop, Daddy, Neffy, Secret, Vonne, Quan, Fatt, and Shae) and forty-two great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. A special friend: Jackie Ford of Laurinburg, NC and a special cousin: Gregory Ratcliff Sr.
