Winston Underwood was born the third son of Willie and Maxine Bright Underwood. His birth took place on December 5, 1961, in Georgia Washington Hospital in Washington, DC.
Winston departed this life on Friday, September 9, 2022, at home at the age of 61.
Winston is known to many as “BooBoo” or “Wood”. He was a lover of music and basketball as he was a fervent player in school. He was generous to a fault, always read to give a helping hand. To his family he was the GOAT, the Rock of the family.
Winston was a faithful hardworking man as noted by the number of places he was employed. His last place of employment was Ina Bearing. After having worked at JP Stevens, Masaki, and Emerson. This is how he came to have so many friends. He was lovable and outgoing. The love he and his friends displayed to each other was rare for this day and time; none fear shedding a tear.
Winston was preceded in death by his father Willie Underwood and his brother Dexter.
Left to cherish his memory is his mother Maxine Bright Underwood, one son Tray Clark (Denesha McCoy) of Fayetteville, NC. One daughter Jaquetta Underwood (Laquintin) of Bennettsville, SC. Two grandchildren Amari Simmons and Avah Clark. One brother Anthony Underwood of Las Vegas. Two sisters Tonya Underwood an Fynale Underwood both of Bennettsville, SC. One sister-in-law Patricia Bright and her son Alah. A host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
