Zillar Bostic Obituary

Sister Zillar Mae McNeil Bostic was born on July 7, 1946 to the late James A. McNeil Sr., and the late Blanche Sanders McNeil, in Gibson, North Carolina.

Zillar was a member of the Mount Zion Baptist Church in Tatum, SC, where she was an active member of the Usher Board and Senior Choir.

She was a graduate of Adamsville High School class of 1965 and earned her Associate degree at Demark Technical College in 1968.    She was employed by Hanes for almost 20 years, Takata Manufacturing, and found her passion in caring for children working at First Baptist Church Day Care Center, and In Home Assisted Care with the disabled elderly adults and children for the past 15 years.

On February 1, 1969, she joined in Holy Matrimony to her husband of 51 years, Lawrence Martin Bostic and to this union, 4 children were born.  She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, and devoted wife. 

She departed her life on September 3, 2020 at McLeod Health in Cheraw, South Carolina.

Preceding her in death are her brother James A. McNeil Jr and sister-in-law Sarah McNeil.

Left to cherish her loving memories are her husband, Lawrence Martin Bostic of the home, four sons, Martin Jabbar Bostic of Bennettsville, SC, Michael J. (Kristen) Bostic of Charlottesville, VA, Mitchell J. Bostic of the home, and Maurice Jerel Bostic of Raleigh, NC; her six grandchildren, DiJon, Davien, Jalen, Kayah, Madison, & Gavin; her sister, Revonds (Albert) McNeil Davis of Greensboro, NC; her brother Tyrone McNeil of Fayetteville, NC; her daughter-in-law Kimberly Graham Bostic, of Bennettsville, SC; three brothers-in-law, Eugene Bostic, Charles Bostic, and Rufus Bostic; three sisters-in-law, Alma Bostic, Mable Greer, and Barbara Ann Bostic; her very close friend Eddy Ruth Green; and a host of Cousins, Nieces, Nephews, and Family Friends.
