Anthony Wayne Bostic was born December 3, 1969 to the late Floyd Bostic and Lottie Bostic in Brooklyn, New York. He ascended home on Sunday, June 4, 2017 at Scotland Memorial Hospital in Laurinburg, NC.  Anthony is preceded in death by his father Floyd Bostic and sister Monalisa Lilley.

He attended Mt. Olive Holy Church in Brooklyn, New York and was educated in the Public Schools of Brooklyn. Thereafter, his family moved to Bennettsville, SC and in 1988, he graduated from Bennettsville High School.  After graduating high school, he married Ms. Cynthia Quick. From this union, two beautiful children were born (Shatiqua Quick and Shanoria Lloyd).  While actively working he joined the U.S. National Guard and served for many years.  He continued his career by attending truck-driving school and successfully obtained his CDL license. He was currently employed with Mohawk Industry, Inc. in Blenheim, SC.

During his adolescent years, he was well known for performing dances in a popular group called “Chaos.”  He enjoyed listening to music, playing basketball, fishing, working on automobiles and providing all kinds of handy man services. There was nothing Anthony could not do!  His family and friends called him “Ant” and “Sha”.  He was a constant jokester who loved to laugh and had a nickname for everyone.  He took pride in putting smiles on the faces of that he encountered and that is why he was truly liked and loved by many. Everyone considered him a people’s person.  He was also known for being “cool” and having “swag.”   His clothes, sneakers, hats, shades and cologne were true evidence of this.  Those that knew him well would concur that he loved his New York Giants!

Anthony was very family oriented and would do anything for those closest to him, especially his Mother, Son, Daughters, Siblings, Cousins, Nieces, Nephews, Aunts and Uncles.  He truly valued his family and ALWAYS tried to exemplify positive examples of a man for his Nephews and only Son AJ.

Anthony is survived by his Mother, Lottie D. Bostic of Bennettsville, SC, Shatiqua Quick of Bennettsville, SC, Shanoria (Sgt. Romoan) Lloyd, Cary, NC, Shyantae Shelton, Bennettsville, SC, Anthony Wayne Bostic Jr. (AJ), Ms. Suvory Bostic of Fayetteville, NC, Mrs. Ruth Purcell (Sam) of Bennettsville, SC, Mr. Floyd Bostic of Bennettsville, SC, and Dr. Shenice Bostic of Washington, DC; grandchildren, Kimari Lloyd, Kynderius Lloyd, Kyric Lloyd, and Makala Eaddy; a special and devoted friend Ms. Opal Kennedy of Clio, SC.. A host of Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Great Nieces and Great Nephews, Cousins and friends. Anthony will be sorely missed by ALL who knew and loved him…

The family is receiving friends at 116 Talon Drive, Bennettsville.
