Mrs. Elizabeth Murphy, daughter of Sarah Townsend and William O'Neil Jr, was born on February 20, 1969, in Clio, South Carolina. On Friday, October 27, 2017, God saw that there was no cure here on Earth, so He lifted her soul to be in his presence to enter into eternal rest with her family surrounded by her side.

She was converted at an early age and joined New Zion A.M.E Zion Church in Little Rock, South Carolina. She was a devoted and hardworking church member. Elizabeth served as a deaconess and was founder of the annual Worship in Pink program.

Elizabeth Murphy had a humble spirit and was devoted to helping others. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and reading her bible. Elizabeth graduated with honors from Clio High School in 1987. She continued her education at Northeastern Technical College and received her Associate degree in Arts. In 2002, she graduated from Francis Marion University with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. In January of 2003, she began working as the Special Education teacher at Clio Elementary Middle School, where she served 14 years. Then in 2012, Elizabeth continued her education and received her Master's degree in Learning Disabilities from Francis Marion University.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Myron O'Neil and grandmother, Sarah McInnis.

She leaves to cherish her fond memories her loving and devoted husband: Donald L. Murphy; six children, ShiQuita McCoy, Dohnovan Murphy, Dorrien Murphy all of the home, Martina Moore of Columbia, SC, Donald Murphy Jr. of Dillon, SC, and Dont'a Williams of High Point, NC; her parents; Sarah Townsend and William O'Neil Jr. of Clio, SC; two beautiful sisters; Peggy (Edward) Spears and Terri O'Neill both of Clio, SC; three loving brothers; Jessie (Bertha) McInnis of Cheraw, SC, Charles (Tiffany) McInnis of Bennettsville, SC and Martin McInnis of Clio, SC; one step brother, Anthony Brown of Clio, SC; two beautiful sisters-in-law; Betty Murphy McGill and Paris Murphy (Thomas) Pinkney of Harrier, SC; two caring brothers-in-law; Willie (Della) Murphy Jr. of Maxton, NC and James Murphy of Jonesborough, GA; others she leave to reflect upon her life are several cousins, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
