Frances Ann Thomas

On February 23, 2017 at Scotland Hospice in Laurinburg, NC, the Lord called one of His angels, Frances Ann Thomas home. Frances was born April 28, 1945 to the late Herbert and Louise Harris.

Frances was preceded in death by her parents Herbert and Louise Harris, brother Barry Gene Thomas, sister Annette Edens Covington and special cousin Barbara Gene McLaughlin, Carolyn Bratton and Belinda Lee.

Frances was educated at Lincoln High School.  She was joined in matrimony  to Cleveland Thomas in 1973.

Frances loved cooking, caring for children, decorating, growing her flowers and gardening. She also loved to read her bible. She was the backbone of her family and was willing to help friends and anyone in the community who needed her. She will surely be missed by all whose lives she touched.

Frances was a member of Clio United Methodist Church.

Left to cherish her loving memory are her daughter Sherrone (Elliot) Buie,  grandchildren Frederick “Pnut” Kennedy, RaeQuann “Pee” Buie, Brandon Buie and Deronn Buie; great-grandson , Braylon Bie and Kayla Kennedy; god children Calvin Thomas of McColl, SC,  Sharon Thomas of Charlotte, NC, Tomekia and Briyanna Thomas of Charlotte, NC;  sisters Mildred Thomas of the home and Ethel (Morris) Lowery of Bennettsville, SC; brothers Michael (Tomekia) Thomas  of Bennettsville, SC, Robert (Karonda) Pouncy of Clio, SC, Archie Eden of Charlotte, NC; a special aunt whom she loved like a mother, Mildred Hamm of Newark, NJ; uncle Moses (Dorthlea) Lee of Bennettsville, SC; special cousins Denise Hamm of Newark, NJ, Ronald Hamm of Newark, NJ, Kimberly Watts of Robbinsville, NJ and Terrence McLaughlin of Robbinsville, NJ and Ronald Hamm Jr. of Newark, NJ; caregivers Sallie Mae Frazier and Lee Esther Bethea, and a host of other relatives and friends.
