Christopher Bethea

Christopher Lamont Bethea was born July 10, 1969 in Brooklyn N.Y. to Leroy and Shirley Moore.

He accepted Christ at an early age and ushered as well as sing on the choir at Syrian Baptist Church. Chris rededicated his life Sunday November 20, 2016 at Faith Temple Church of God in Christ in Conway, S.C.

He is a 1988 graduate of Clio High School. During his tenure at Clio High, he played with the Varsity (Cavaliers) football team. Chris lived in Conway, South Carolina with his mother, and attended Faith Temple in Conway, South Carolina. He touched every one’s life in a different way and had a great love for children. Chris had a fun loving personality and could make anybody laugh, and has been a Dallas Cowboys fan for life.

On Wednesday November 30, 2016 at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center, God granted Chris his wings, and gave him rest from all his cares pain and labor.

He was preceded in death by his wife Juliette Bethea and father Leroy Moore. Left to cherish his memories is his loving mother Shirley Moore of Conway SC; son, Roderick Short of Cheraw, SC,  Special friend Metta Nivens of Dillon, SC; seven brothers: James Bethea of  Wilmington, DE, Terry Moore (Meka)  of Bennettsville, SC, James Moore of Bennettsville, SC, Dequan Moore of Virginia, Kheem Moore of Conway, SC, Isheem Moore of Conway, SC, Asanti Moore of Conway SC; seven sisters: Sharon Wells (John) of Virginia, Katina Scott (Andre) of Delaware, Sherra Trueheart (Larry) of Virginia, Yvette Moore of Virginia, Vaneisha Love of Laurinburg, NC, Daneidra Moore of Bennettsville, Katema Moore of Conway; three brothers-in-law; one sister-in-law, one grandson Kendrick; a special aunt Mary Frances Short and uncle Jerome Ellerbe a host of great aunts and uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.
